Doric and Friends Drop In at Transition Extreme

Join us and friends for a day of fun and skateboarding at Transition Extreme.!

-Raffle Prize! A one off TX/Doric Deck - stick your name on your wristband before you leave and get it in the pot to enter.!

-Half Price Session Prices!

We’ll have a selection of stalls selling their wares and raising awareness/money for their cause. This includes:

*Doric Skateboards - full PoP up with loads of stock.!

*Shed of Shred - local skater Anders has found a great way to re-cycle old skateboards. He’s turned them into all manner of stuff including jewellery.!

*Jetpack Dinosaur - another local skater with skills beyond the board. Chris is an artist who’s work can be seen all over the city (Painted Doors, Oor Wullie Bucket Trail) and in Transition itself. Chris will have some of his art for sale.!

*Broch Skate Club - ‘Broch Skate Club are a local registered charity who are currently looking for funds to build a brand new, state of the art skate park in Fraserburgh. A new park will help us preserve the skate scene, attract tourism to the town and encourage the youth to get fit outdoors. We’ve a range of items for sale including tees, pint glasses and backpacks with all proceeds going to our cause.’

*Blueskate Peterhead - Blueskate is a group of local skaters and supporters from Peterhead who have joined together to create a purpose built skatepark in Peterhead. The current skatepark is past its sell by date and needs an upgrade. The aim is to involve the community in the design of this and create a space to attract visitors from all ages and background to take part in all types of wheeled sports. The first phase of this is to fundraise for this. We have created merchandise to begin with, these include: Adults Tees Kids Tees Beanies Pom Pom Beanies Key Rings Stickers

*Banchory Skate Park - also well into the development of the facilities at Banchory, Russ and his team will be on hand to help raise their profile and offer some merch.

*Granite City Roller Derby - Jo and the team will be in attendance to offer encouragement for Quad Skating - something that you can do at TX or learn more about Roller Derby.

*Peacocks Visual Arts - Former TX Boss man Jo Coleman will be joined by printer James Vass to offer up some information on what Peacocks offer. Hopefully they will have some printing equipment of some kind to let you have a go!

*Westburn House Aberdeen - Adam and his team have grand plans for the redevelopment of Westburn House and the park it self. With the park already home to an outdoor park any investment there is a good thing! These guys currently have a fundraiser and also have some cracking badges designed by Small Stories for sale!

*Grays School of Art - lGray's School of Art 2nd Year Communication Design students have created skateboard graphics as part of their coursework under the direction of Nicola Watson, John Welsh and other course teaching staff.
Their artwork will be on show at TX for the evening, including student Anca Tomescu's final design which has been selected for printing by skateboard company owners Adam Wood (Karma Skateboards) and Gary Kemp (Doric Skateboards).
A selection of #YES SKATEBOARDING decks developed as part of a collaboration between Gray's School of Art, Denis Law Legacy Trust and Transition Extreme will also be on show.

*Two Birds - original Transition Extreme founder, Neil Stevenson now has a wee business with his 2 sons Greg and Daniel, all originally from Aberdeen. Two Birds will be showcasing and providing tasters of their new Vitamin Enriched Cold Blend Coffee, the perfect caffeine hit to fuel your skate session, with added health benefits!
